San Diego

I had the best time in San Diego with my friends so when I got home I booked a getaway to San Diego with Logan!! We had the BEST time!!! Sun, sun and more sun! We loved it!! Our anniversary was a week prior so this was a good Anniversary celebration! 9 years!

First stop- Mission Beach.
We looked up the time it takes to get to Disneyland from San Diego and it was only an hour and a half away... that was just way too close to pass up! We got up early and drove to Disneyland on the second day of our trip. We were so glad that we did! OF COURSE we had so much fun!!!

I love being married to someone who appreciates fun little details like I do! Toon Town is always great for that!

Logan wanted to take this picture for the boys!
 They would love this.
This glowing castle and the fireworks above it- It doesn't get much better then that! One day was a tease! We can't wait to take the boys someday!!

Coronado Beach was my favorite when I came with my friends. SO PRETTY! We both took some nice naps on the beach! We LOVED riding bikes along the beach and through the cute town. The houses in Coronado are absolutely darling! And bonus- many of them were all decked out for the 4th of July.

I love the Coronado Hotel... I like pretending like I'm actually staying there. Makes me feel fancy!
That night we went to Historic Old Town. Old Town is AWESOME!  Dinner was delicious too.

On Sunday morning we went to the Mormon Battalion. Afterwards we visited the Temple.

Breathtaking Temple! It doesn't even look real it's so pretty!!!

Lunch at In-n-Out. We LOVE this place! Although, I don't think it would taste as good where we live!

On our last day we wanted to visit Mission Beach one last time. We could NOT BELIEVE how BAD the parking was. It took us 45 MINUTES to find a parking spot. That is not an exaggeration we timed it! We felt like we won the lottery when we found a parking spot!!! We were so happy to get about an hour of laying on the sand in before we had to head to the airport!!

We LOVED our trip to San Diego! I would be happy to go there twice a year every year... or more!!!

Last Day of Kindergarten

The last day of school was VERY bittersweet. He won't be going back to Harmony :( It was a great school! I loved where his classroom was... right in front of the drop off area so I could see him walk in and out of his class each day when I dropped him off and picked him up. He made Mrs. Brockley a card. I thought it was so sweet, he made it all on his own.

Mrs. Brockley had a big rug with colorful squares that they would sit on everyday. I love that he drew the rug on the card.

I can't believe my baby will be a 1st grader!

BEE Happy

For the second Releif Society activity  that I planned, my commitee and I did a 'BEE Happy theme.' The Happy song was on the radio all the time and it got me in the mood to do something cheerful! We did a Cafe Rio style dinner where people volunteered to bring different fixins. We had three people speak briefly about different aspects of happiness- CHOOSING to be happy, taking time for your self and taking care of yourself, and Serving others. The three people that spoke did a fabulous job! Afterwards we did an activity where everyone shared something that makes them happy. Everyone brought an item to represent what that is. It was fun to see what everyone brought and it was a great way to get to know everyone better. I thought it turned out to be a fun, HAPPY night!

Baylor is 6

Baylor is 6! We have been VERY busy around here! He decided two days before his birthday that he wanted a Godzilla party with his friends. We were going to just do a family party, but my friend Debbie informed me that her son Dane came home with a hand-written party invite from Baylor. She didn't know if it was a real invite or not so she asked me. Apparently he had handed out a few of those so I figured why not just do a friend party instead if that's what he really wants! It was all very last minute but it all worked out! Of course they don't have any Godzilla party supplies at the store so we had to figure out a way to do it. I made a banner in photoshop and Logan painted a big Godzilla poster. His art skills really come in handy!
The wind was blowing so he had to pretend to blow
out the candles!
I obviously really WAS loosing my mind... I only put four candles on his cake. The saddest part, it didn't even click that that was wrong until the party was over! I'm surprised Baylor didn't say anything!

Checking out his new garbage pail kids from Oliver.

After Logan got home from work we sang to him and had him BLOW out his candles... 6 of them! I saved the gifts from us for when Logan got home. We gave Baylor something he REALLY wanted.....
I love that I captured his reaction! The 'FIRST EVER' hardcover Goosebumps book! Baylor LOVES Goosebumps books even thought he can't read them. He just loves the scary covers and he loves to carry them around. Oh and he sleeps with them!

Baylor was one happy birthday boy! We love him so much!!!!
