Halloween Decor

We LOVE decorating for Halloween!
This year I made some new orange and black pillows with a few of my friends.

I made this witch dress form with my friend Amy last year. This project was sooo much fun!

I found this idea on pinterest to hang witch hats. I put them up for Bunco but I loved it so I left them. I will probably hang them next year too!
Every year my mantel changes. I made the paper wreath several years ago with the craft group I was in. I made so many fun things with them. I also made the witch broom. That was a fun project too!!

February

These are just a few randoms from February....
Bentley turned 6 months old. He is still learning to sit up, so my bed was the best spot to take a '6 month' picture. He is the sweetest, happiest little thing ever.
This is pretty much what's going on in our kitchen...
all day, every day!

I made my fam some crepes for breakfast on Valentine's day. I like to find any excuse to make them... because I LOVE them. (More then anyone else in my family)

We found Wessie sleeping on the floor like this one night. He just LOVES his shark so much. We still never know what we are going to find when we go to check on the boys at night.

My Activity Day girls made heart banners and I liked how they turned out so I got together with my partner and we made them too! Thank you Pinterest!

Bentley spends most of his time Exersaucering!

Baylor ready for 'Silly Day' at Preschool. He insisted on having his pants backwards. (It's hard to see in the picture)

Baylor's 4th Birthday!

Baylor turned four on June 4th! This was the first year that he was SO excited for his Birthday. He has been talking about his 'Ninja Turtle/McQueen Birthday party' since December. I made him choose one theme and he chose Ninja Turtles. He doesn't have any of the movies, but he loves to look at Logan's old photo albums and Logan had a Ninja Turtle party when he was little, so Baylor wanted to follow in his footsteps :)

We made these mini pizza box invitations. I saw the idea on the internet and couldn't resist!
This turned out to be a fun theme to do. Of course we had to do a 'Pizza Party' since Ninja Turtles love pizza! We had Slime-aid (lime-aid) and I did the four ninja turtle colors in the cake.

One of Baylor's very favorite things to play is camping, so I found this cute idea to make a felt camping kit! I asked Lori (Grandma May) for some advice when I first started the project and she got excited and helped me do a lot of it... that was awesome! We also made little felt Graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate bars for the Smore's.

And just for fun......

These are some pictures from Logan's Ninja Turtle Party:

Since I will have 3 boys I'm thinking this probably won't be the last Ninja Turtle party at our house!
Happy Birthday Baylor, I LOVE YOU!

Getting Through March

March is usually one of my least favorite months. Not sure what the weather is like everywhere else but here it is sooooooo rainy. It kills me. Aside from that there is usually not much going on. I guess there is St. Patti's day but.. Come on? Anyways, what I'm getting at is this March has been awesome! There have been so many fun things going on, friends visiting, and enough 30 minute sun breaks in our rainy days to make it sorta feel like Spring!
Natalie came to visit at the beginning of the month. Yes she lives in Colorado but I still manage to see her often. I love that! My family has discovered a new passion. Karaoke. Me and Casey go crazy with it. When Nat came in town I borrowed my parent's Karaoke Machine and we had a blast!
I've added a few 'Springy' touches to the inside of my home to make it feel sunny. I sewed some new pillow covers for my couches and I must say I am really starting to love sewing! (I seriously never thought I would say that!) I sewed a total of 8 pillow covers, which was a lot of work (for me) but I'm happy with how they turned out.
If nothing else, THESE are the highlight of my March every year. I have already gone through three bags... plus two boxes of the cream eggs.... Why are these candies SO GOOD?
Being lazy on a Sunday afternoon.
My first thought was 'Oh my gosh what a waste of toilet paper!!'.... my second thought was 'Oh my gosh where is my camera???' I think I wanna frame this and put it in my bathroom.
This was a HUGE highlight, my Grandma Chapman came to visit! My Dad brought her here from Moses Lake. We had Casey's birthday party over at our house. We sang some Karaoke and did a little dancing, it was actually a really fun party. My Grandma loved it!
Happy Birthday Casey!
This picture is totally goofy, but I love it.  I can't get enough of my little Baylor!
One person's trash is another's treasure! My friend Kendall was getting rid of her wooden IKEA slide and a wooden train/car table... SCORE! We have been spending lots more time in our bonus room now that we have some fun new toys!!!!

After 11 months Wesley finally decided he was willing to put some weight on his legs! He can stand!
This was yesterday. Two of my best friends Brenna and Katie came over for a lunch and baby play date! We were all pregnant at the same time. It is so fun to get the babies altogether. I love these girls! (and the cute babies!)
Rose, Whitney Parker and Wesley :)

Sew Cute

Logan's sister Heidi made Lori and Verne a really nice quilt a few years ago. I love to use it when I'm over at their house. In October I told Lori I would love to make a big quilt like that someday for my house and she said, 'Let's do it!' We got started a week or two later. I have always been intimidated by sewing. Maybe it's because you have to use a pattern and a 'machine.'

Anyways, it was a lot of fun to make... and so far we have been getting lots of use out of it which is what I wanted! Thanks Lori!!!!

Extreme Home Makeover {Backyard Edition}

Last summer when we moved into our house the backyard was nothing but solid weeds. They were almost as tall as me! When we did our remodel last summer we focused on the front yard and the inside of the house.. we saved the backyard for this Spring. It has been a lot of work, but it has finally paid off!
Logan and Verne framing up the new patio. We covered up the old cracked one with weeds growing through it. We also planted the trees along the fence (behind Logan and Verne) to block out our trashy neighbors behind us.

Logan did most of the work, but I did help stain the fence!
Making progress.....
Here's the finished product! YAY! We love spending time in our backyard and eating dinner out on our patio!
