2010 Christmas Card

Here is our Christmas card this year!!

Christmas Time

I started this post WEEKS ago, and have not had the time to come back to it til now. Here are some pictures from a few of our Christmas festivities!
Our Ward did a 'Rockin Around the Christmas Tree' Party. It was really fun! We had fun dressing up for the occasion.

This picture was actually taken in November... Before Thanksgiving. It snowed for one afternoon. I hurried and put a Santa Hat on Wesley and we ran outside for a picture. I wanted a picture with snow for the scrapbook. Yes I'm a nerd.
Two days after Thanksgiving we went to Thornton's and got our Christmas tree. It started out really great, and of course by the end the boys were in tears. Typical, but that's okay.
Every year Lori a Gingerbread house birthday party. It is so fun we love it! Every year I say THIS is our best gingerbread house yet. Logan thinks they always look the same.

Sew Cute

Logan's sister Heidi made Lori and Verne a really nice quilt a few years ago. I love to use it when I'm over at their house. In October I told Lori I would love to make a big quilt like that someday for my house and she said, 'Let's do it!' We got started a week or two later. I have always been intimidated by sewing. Maybe it's because you have to use a pattern and a 'machine.'

Anyways, it was a lot of fun to make... and so far we have been getting lots of use out of it which is what I wanted! Thanks Lori!!!!

Thankful

For months and months we have been looking forward to my Aunt, Uncle and cousins coming to visit. (The Hirschi's) We had lots of fun activities planned and my house was almost cleaned spotless. I was counting down the days for them to arrive for Thanksgiving.... but the horrible weather ruined it all! They drove for a couple hours and then made the wise decision to head back to Idaho Falls. We were all so disappointed... but I have to say that I am THANKFUL that they made it home, safe and sound.

We still had a nice Thanksgiving. We did the traditional 'Turkey Bowl' at Big Al's with the May's and dinner with my family. I also have to stop and say how Thankful I am to live where we live, close to both our parents and most of our siblings. (We miss you James') Most people would have to do a lot of traveling to be around so much family. We are so lucky and for that I am so Thankful!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

Happy Halloween!

You know that bummed out feeling that you get the day after Christmas? We are feeling that a little bit. The Halloween 'season' was so much fun this year! We put up tons of decorations, had tons of fun with our costumes, carved lots of pumpkins (well Logan did), did lots of fun activities and ate LOTS of Candy (well me and Baylor did.)

About once a week I swear someone tells me that Baylor is 'going to be a football player' because of his build. SO, I decided that would be the best Halloween costume for him. I was thrilled to find this football costume for Wesley to match.

I had to capture Baylor's very first 'Trick or Treat.' It was so cute I really can't describe how happy we were to finally be able to take him this year! He says 'Trickery.' I LOVE IT!

Logan was 'Where's Waldo.' I love Wesley in this picture he looks like he is flexing!
Logan decorated our porch this year. He carved all these pumpkins. He is a master carver!!!
My friend Amy does a "Witches Night Out' Party every year. This was my third year going. Her and her sister had it all decked out. I love to see the decor and every one's 'Witchy Best' as Amy calls it.

Fall is in the Air...

This is my sister Mackenzie. She comes to babysit and hangout sometimes, we love that!! My Mom is made our boys pumpkin hats. Wesley has been wearing his every chance we get!

Me and the boys went to Sauvie Island with some friends and had the best time. I loved it SO much that I went back the next week with Logan. Both times we went the weather was so nice. When we went back with Logan it was on a Thursday afternoon. It was nice and quiet so we were really able to enjoy ourselves.

I just love this cow train. A tracker pulls the little cow carts around the farm.

My favorite part of the day was the hayride out to the pumpkin Patch.

Every year we look forward to Lori and Verne's 'Barn Party.' We have dinner, donuts and Joe's Place cider and we carve pumpkins. They decorated the barn with hay bales, spider webs and ghosts!! Thanks Lori and Verne for a fun night!

(thanks for the pictures Lindsi :)

Can you guess which pumpkin Logan carved?
Yesterday we braved the rainy weather and went to Bizi Farms with my family. Even though it was rainy, it was tons of fun! This was our first time, we loved it.
We went through the corn maize. It was really muddy but that just made it more interesting!

It was great to get out and do something fun with my family. Doesn't happen often because it's hard to work out all the schedules.

6 Months Old Already!

Our little Wesley turned 6 months old yesterday! Wesley is so smiley and giggly... it kills me! He is just too cute. Here are some pictures of him from the past couple months that I haven't posted...
After about a month he is FINALLY starting to figure out how to eat baby food. Sorta. He still doesn't like peas though!
This was taken yesterday. He lost his hair but it is growing back. I love his blonde fuzzy head!

He is pretty much always in this position. He won't stay on his back... he always rolls over and pulls himself up like this!
Wesley is comfortably fitting in 12-18 month size clothing. CRAZY!
I hope the next 6 months don't go by as fast as the last!!!
