Wesley's Broken Arm

While Baylor and I were at the Zoo Snooze, Logan took Wesley and Bentley over to his parent's house to celebrate Grandpa May's birthday. Wesley was downstairs playing with his cousins and his arm broke. So sad! I got a text from Sherilyn that said 'I called the emergency room and let them know Logan is on the way.' I had no idea what that meant so that was a scary text to get! I will admit I was releived to find out it was just a broken arm... but still so sad for Wesley! And especially sad that I wasn't there with him. Logan said he was so brave at the hospital! He did not like his cast the first day... but all the gifts and special treatment really helped. He liked wearing his sling for the first couple of days.

Wesley got a big alligator and markers for his cast from his Aunts, a sonic slush and a turtle dreamlight from Logan, and a penguin stuffed animal from Baylor and I at the zoo. Bentley was loving all the gifts as well, good thing Wesley is a nice brother and shares!

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farms

Me and the boys drove out to the Tulip Festival. It was a LONG drive. We had never been so I didn't know what to expect. I was blown away when we got there... it was so much fun! I felt bad that we didn't wait for Logan to come, had I known how fun it was going to be we would have all gone together. We were there for hours and really enjoyed the beauty, food and fun! On the way home we stopped by the Portland Temple. This was the boys' first time seeing the temple! They loved it. We took a visit to the visitor's center, which they also loved. They could have watch the "I am a Mormon" videos all night!!

Beach Trip

We took a last minute trip to Seaside while Heidi was in town. It's always a blast to go to the beach- especially with cousins, and especially with nice weather! It was a blast!

Wesley LOVES the ocean. He ALWAYS has and I think he always will. Out of my boys, he's always the one playing in the waves. He doesn't care what the weather is like outside or the temp of the water. He wants to go further and further in and he never gets bored of it. He would do it for hours and hours if I'd let him!

We spotted some beautiful mermaids on the beach. :)

Making memories! These boys love to be together!

Wesley's 5th 'Shark' Birthday

As always, Wesley picked his birthday theme months in advance. He had been asking for months to have Avin at his party- so we did his party a couple weeks in advance while the James were in town. We had another Birthday celebration with my family on his actual birthday. Lucky boy got TWO shark birthday parties!!!!

He was one happy birthday boy!!

A few things about Wesley at age 5:

Wesley LOVES to give compliments. He constantly telling me he loves me, that I'm 'beautiful', 'gorgeous' and the 'best Mom ever' He is so so sweet!

Wesley loves to make new friends. We will go to the park and he will say, 'I hope I make some new friends!' He considers pretty much anyone he's around his friend. He loves to see his friends at Preschool too.

Wesley loves to be called by his nicknames, his favorite is 'Wetzel's Pretzels' I also call him Wessie woo whoo!

Wesley still 'bonks' his head to fall asleep. He has been doing this his entire life and now talks about how he loves to do it! He does it in the car too. He will ask permission if other people around bc he doesn't wanna bother anyone.

He still says 'Fing' for the word 'Thing' I don't ever want him to say it correctly. It's too cute!

Wesley and Bentley play SO good together. They will play for hours- he will usually do what Bentley wants to do. They love to play stuffed animals together. They will gather up all the stuffed animals and haul them around the house.

When Wesley gets excited he will start doing a really spastic happy dance! It is adorable.

We call Wesley our 'cereal boy' He LOVES to eat Cereal! He could eat it for every meal if we would let him!

Wesley is very sensitive. He is a peacemaker and gets along well with almost everyone. He is truly a blessing in our home and we are thankful every day that he is in our family!!!

Free Chick Day

Today was free chick day at Wilco! We went out with Logan's family to Battle Ground and picked up 25 fryer chicks. We will raise them for 6 weeks and then take them to the slaughter house to become our Sunday dinners. The boys were just so excited to play with all these baby chicks- they are so cute!

Bentley had fun helping Dad and Grandpa May get the chicken coup ready for the chicks!

Happy New Year 2015

We have had a New Years tradition with the Kleins for years and years! We had a large spread of yummy stuff! We played a few games, the kids had a little dance party, we snapped a few 'photobooth' pictures and the highlight of the night- watched the ball drop and threw confetti and party poppers everywhere. It was a great time. The kids didn't show any signs of being tired! They were ALL up past 1:00 AM!

 Bring it on 2015!!!
