Fathers and Sons Camp Out

Logan and Baylor attended the ward 'Fathers and Sons' Camp out. Even though he has only gone a couple times Baylor LOVES camping. He pretends to camp almost every day in his playroom. While they were packing for this trip Baylor was skipping around saying 'I'm so excited! I'm so excited!'

Kyle and Oliver came
Baylor was lucky to have lots of uncles and cousins on the camp out too. Next year Wesley will get to go for his first time!

Grandma Chapman

My Grandma Chapman passed away in April. It is so hard to believe that she is gone. I miss her so much. Her home was in Moses Lake where I was born. It was at her house where I experienced some of my very best childhood memories. I have so much to thank her for.

I probably could have left my kids home but I wanted to bring them to Moses Lake so that they could see my Grandparent's home. I'm so glad I brought them, and sadly regret not bringing them many times before. The boys loved the lake and to this day Baylor is still talking about 'Moses Lake'  almost daily.

The funeral service was wonderful. Of course funeral's are sad, but this one came with quite a few laughs as well. My Grandma was a hilarious lady, and everyone who knew her loved her. It really was a celebration of the life she lived.

 Me and my Grandpa Chapman.
My Grandparent's home was on Moses Lake. We would come visit a couple times a year. I still remember sleeping in the car but always waking up to the sound of the tires pulling onto the gravel driveway. It would always be late but we'd say hi anyways and then I would sneak into the fridge and get some homemade potato salad, or candy. As kids we had the best time every Summer rolling down the hill, playing in the sprinklers, climbing the waterfall (even though we weren't suppose to), swimming in the lake and riding around on the paddle boat. My Grandma loved treats and she ALWAYS had her kitchen stocked with huge jars filled with gummy worms, tootsie pops, juicy fruit and big red gum and Jelly Belly's. The freezer in the garage had an unlimited supply of Schwan push pops and ice cream sandwiches. My Grandma had a LOVE for garage sales, shopping and antiques. She loved everything girly and sparkly. She always had about a dozen sparkly rings on her fingers. Her home was filled with pink things, frills and porcelain dolls. As a little girl I was in heaven in her house and I wanted all that stuff! She would give me dolls for Christmas and I always loved that. My Grandma had a strong testimony and love for the Gospel and she talked about it nonstop. When I was 17 she took my family on a trip to the East Coast for a church history tour. It was an amazing experience that I am so grateful for.

As I look back on her life I realize how many things I have in common with my Grandma. I too love shopping, antiques, sparkly things, candy, the gospel and I too am a Mother of lots of BOYS! (She had four sons and then one daughter)

A few months before she passed I was able to go visit with my parents and Casey. She wasn't feeling well but was still fun to talk to and hang out with. We just hung out in her room and talked and laughed for hours. That was my last memory with my Grandma and it was a good one. I'm grateful that she is comfortable now and she is with her many loved ones that passed too soon.
I miss her so much but know I will see her again someday!

These are a few pictures from my Grandparent's home in Moses Lake-

Tulip Fields

My Mom loves Tulips they are her favorite flowers. She treated me and the boys to lunch and then we went up to Woodland to see the Tulip fields. Of course they were absolutely gorgeous. My boys liked the flowers but they LOVED the mud in between the rows of flowers. Turns out little boys like mud more then flowers... who knew??

Wesley is 2!

My little Wesley turned 2 on April 14th. He was the cutest little birthday boy! It started out cold and cloudy but turned into a beautiful day! We went to IHop for lunch, then we went home and the boys rode their bikes. Wesley LOVES to play outside, of course… Afterwards he took a long nap. We BBQ'd for dinner and then had all the family over for a birthday party. We did a Batman theme because Wesley has followed after his brother, loving Batman. He got excited when I put on his shirt. He calls him 'Nanan"

Unlike Baylor at this age, Wesley is a skilled candle blower! He is a pro at blowing out candles!
Wesley was a stubborn little birthday boy. After we sang happy birthday and he blew out his candles I thought we’d open the gifts and then eat the cake. (That's how we always did it growing up) but he REFUSED to open his presents. We were all gathered around in the living room, but he wanted nothing to do with the presents... all he wanted was cake. So, we changed the plans, ate the cake and ice cream and then he enjoyed opening his presents. What a funny boy. I just love my little 2 year old!

Brianne's Wedding

About 6ish years ago I was visiting my cousins in Idaho Falls and my cousin Brianne told me about a boy that she had a crush on, Imari. She said it was just a crush.... but now all these years later they are married! They have the sweetest love story and they are such a cute couple. This was such a fun wedding to go to. I am so happy for them! I left Logan and the boys at home and traveled to Idaho Falls with my parents and siblings. It was a lot of fun!
This is the night before the wedding. We had a little Bachelorette party and then went to the church to check out the reception decor.

Putting together favors for the reception!

Me and my siblings waiting for Brianne to come out of the Temple.

Brianne and Imari were married in the Rexburg Temple.

Me and the beautiful bride!
Casey and his girlfriend Elise flew in from Chicago. We were all so excited about that! She happens to be from Idaho Falls so it was perfect. We all loved her and were so happy to meet her for the first time!

With the exception of Brylee and Mackenzie who have not yet been married, we have all been eachother's Bridesmaids. It has been so much fun and the perfect reason to get together every couple years. It was bittersweet that this was our last wedding... (for awhile.)
Lastely, Me and my Grandma Davis and cute cousins Hailey and Hannah.  I love weddings because it's the perfect reason to get together and see your relatives! It was the best weekend! Love you Brianne!!!!!!

New Years Eve

We have a tradition to get together with our friends the Klein's and the Jensen's for New Years Eve. This was our 5th year spending New Years Eve together! We love snacking, playing games, watching 'New Years Rocking Eve' and this year we added Just Dance. This is a tradition that I love and look forward to every year!

This year the kids joined the party.
Baby Ben was just 4 weeks old!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!

Christmas Time

I was HORRIBLE about taking picture this Christmas season but I did manage to take a few cute ones! The plus side of that is less pictures to have to edit, blog and scrapbook right?! Of course our Christmas was wonderful we loved every minute of the holiday season!
My Sister Mackenzie took this picture of our family for our Christmas Card.

We get our Christmas tree the day after thanksgiving. I happened to pull an all nighter the night before with some friends doing Black Friday shopping. It was a blast. The weather was so good the next day we had to take advantage and get our tree even though I was soo tired!
My cute little Eskimo baby.

Logan and I love to go to Washington Square. We weren't planning on seeing Santa but Baylor would have been heart broken if we didn't after he saw him. When it was our turn Wesley jumped out of my arms and ran into Santa's lap. He was just as excited to see Santa as Baylor was. Baylor was absolutely star struck. This was the best year yet for visiting Santa!
Hope you had a Merry Christmas too! :)
