One more Christmas Post....

Since I started digital scrapbooking 2 years ago, I have made January my scrapbooking month. I do a little bit throughout the year and then pound it out in January. I have been working like crazy. Here are a few more pictures from December. We had a blast making our Christmas Video this year. We did our own 3 minute version of the movie Elf. Logan made the Elf Costume for Baylor. This was his first time touching a sewing machine!! We filmed it in Downtown Portland. I was quite proud of Baylor's performance. I wanted to post it but I could not figure it out!

and just for fun...

Here are some pictures of Logan making Baylor's Elf costume.

Merry Christmas!

(Baylor snuck into the fudge while we were opening gifts.)

Next we headed over to the May's.

First we did the annual Live Nativity.
Lori made this set and all the costumes.
I love this tradition!!!

Wesley had the honor of playing Baby Jesus.
He did so well, he was happy the whole time!

Baylor was a very busy busy Sheppard.

After the Nativity we watched the Christmas Videos. (I'm gonna try to post ours in another post if I can figure out how to do that.) The videos were all amazing this year, so fun to watch!!!... and of course we opened gifts. There were lots of good surprises!!!

We had so much fun with our families!!! I could
not have asked for a better day. Every year it gets better and better. After all that fun it was hard to believe that there was still MORE to look
forward too. We were so excited to get home so Santa could come!

I borrowed my parent's 'Night Before Christmas' book that my Dad used to read to us on Christmas Eve. It was fun to have Logan read the same book to our kids. Wesley got kicked out after a few minutes though... he was grabbing the book too much!

Christmas Morning!

Baby's First Christmas!
Wesley had a ball sucking on everything. It was hard keep
track of what he had in his mouth considering all the things we had on the floor.

Forget the toys. All he wanted was wrapping paper!

We have this little door under our stairs that goes to a
closet. Since moving in I have wanted to make it a 'playroom' We already had toys in there but the back half was filled with storage bins. We decided to
surprise the boys and turn it into a playroom by emptying it out and decorating it. You should have seen the look on Wesley's face when he saw it. JUST KIDDING.
We had fun though :)

Baylor has a Ghostbusters obsession. He started saying
'Busters' about 3 or 4 months ago. Eventually it turned into 'BoBusters' and now it is 'GoBusters.' He loves Logan's old Ghostbusters toys from when he was little. He has been carrying them around since he was one. He talks about Ghostbusters all day long. One night he fell asleep on the floor and I moved him into his bed at 2 am and he whispered 'Gobusters' as I moved him. We never pushed this on him, he just decided he loved it on his own. Santa brought him lots of Ghostbusters toys and he was in HEAVEN! Logan made him some T-shirts and he bought the cartoon on DVD on Ebay. In this picture Baylor is watching the DVD's... are we feeding into the obsession? No not at all!

Logan always does good, getting me lots of gifts that I love! One thing I got Logan was the Moose mugs that they drink Eggnog out of on Christmas Vacation. (We love
love that movie!) This was a fun gift that we both loved.

Christmas was so great this year. I miss it! I am just now starting to accept the fact that it's over. Is it bad that I'm excited for next year already?
Hope that yours was wonderful too!!!!!
Merry Christmas! :)

2010 Christmas Card

Here is our Christmas card this year!!

Christmas Time

I started this post WEEKS ago, and have not had the time to come back to it til now. Here are some pictures from a few of our Christmas festivities!
Our Ward did a 'Rockin Around the Christmas Tree' Party. It was really fun! We had fun dressing up for the occasion.

This picture was actually taken in November... Before Thanksgiving. It snowed for one afternoon. I hurried and put a Santa Hat on Wesley and we ran outside for a picture. I wanted a picture with snow for the scrapbook. Yes I'm a nerd.
Two days after Thanksgiving we went to Thornton's and got our Christmas tree. It started out really great, and of course by the end the boys were in tears. Typical, but that's okay.
Every year Lori a Gingerbread house birthday party. It is so fun we love it! Every year I say THIS is our best gingerbread house yet. Logan thinks they always look the same.

Sew Cute

Logan's sister Heidi made Lori and Verne a really nice quilt a few years ago. I love to use it when I'm over at their house. In October I told Lori I would love to make a big quilt like that someday for my house and she said, 'Let's do it!' We got started a week or two later. I have always been intimidated by sewing. Maybe it's because you have to use a pattern and a 'machine.'

Anyways, it was a lot of fun to make... and so far we have been getting lots of use out of it which is what I wanted! Thanks Lori!!!!

Thankful

For months and months we have been looking forward to my Aunt, Uncle and cousins coming to visit. (The Hirschi's) We had lots of fun activities planned and my house was almost cleaned spotless. I was counting down the days for them to arrive for Thanksgiving.... but the horrible weather ruined it all! They drove for a couple hours and then made the wise decision to head back to Idaho Falls. We were all so disappointed... but I have to say that I am THANKFUL that they made it home, safe and sound.

We still had a nice Thanksgiving. We did the traditional 'Turkey Bowl' at Big Al's with the May's and dinner with my family. I also have to stop and say how Thankful I am to live where we live, close to both our parents and most of our siblings. (We miss you James') Most people would have to do a lot of traveling to be around so much family. We are so lucky and for that I am so Thankful!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
