Utah Trip

Logan and I decided to take our own little trip to Utah to visit the James' and some other relatives. This is the first trip that we have taken on our own. Logan and I felt like real grown-ups with our two kids in the back seat. We loved it! We stayed at the James' home in Roy. If there's one thing you should know about Heidi, it is that she knows how to have a good time. She is always up for anything and she has lots of energy! We did not waste any time, everyday we were out doing something fun! She took us to do all the fun things around her town. We had the best time!!!!
We went to the Dinosaur Park in Ogden.

Baylor was in HEAVEN with all the dinosaurs around! He kept saying 'WHOAAA' and 'RAR RAAAAAR'. It was so entertaining!

After the dinosaur park we picked up some popsicles and bread at the grocery store and went to the 'Duck Park'...

There were SO MANY ducks... and geese. I thought it would be fun to pose next to them for a picture... but then they got so close to me and it totally freaked me out I just threw the bread and ran away.
Baylor had fun chasing them off.

The next day I got to see my Grandma Davis! She lives in Salt Lake so we met up for breakfast and went back to her cute new house to hangout for awhile. I just love my Grandma, it was so fun to see her!

Later in the day we rode on the front runner train to the train station in Ogden. Again, Baylor loved it! He kept saying 'I want choo choo' after that.

The train station has a bunch of old trains for the kids to climb on. They love it!

The next day we went to a river. Heidi said the adults need to have their fun too. We loaded up the tubes and went down the rapids. Heidi and I started getting creative... going down head first and then Heidi had the best idea... to go down with no tubes at all. I wasn't quite prepared for that. I banged up my legs (they had cuts and bruises from the rocks) and I about drowned. This reminded me of all the crazy things I used to do back when I was fearless... and it reminded me of why I am NOT fearless anymore!!!!!!
On our last day we went to Lagoon! Logan's cousin Morgan and his wife and kids came with us. The kids had a blast going on ride after ride... and us adults had our fun too! The girls and the guys took turns going on the roller coasters and other big rides. There were hardly any lines so we got to go on tons. Our favorite was the old white roller coaster. Me, Heidi and Melanie went on it three times in a row within about 10 minutes!!! We were laughing and running around like little kids!

Baylor and Tyson got along well. They were so adorable going on rides together. All the kids loved this car ride. Logan took these cute pictures!

Wesley was named Wesley 'Morgan' after THIS cousin. I'm so glad that we got to spend time together with our families. We will definitely be doing this again!!!
We got to Lagoon right when it opened, and we were one of the last to leave. (I'm not kidding, the lights were off and there was no one around when we were walking out!) We got our money's worth and had a great time!
Thanks for the fun vacation Heidi and Ryan!!!!!

August!

Okay first of all I had to post this cute cute picture of Wes. Everyone is always commenting on how CHUBBY he is! My favorite things he's been called: 'Butterball' and 'The Michelin Man'... cracks me up!
I just love all those rolls and that smile.
We had so much fun at the fair last year we had to go again. Baylor of course loved the animals and we let him pick one ride. He picked the carousal which kinda sucked because he can just go on that at the mall for about a fourth of the price but that's the only one he wanted. Oh well!
We had to say goodbye to our good friends Brenna and Matt a few weeks ago. Matt is going to school to be a Pharmacist. We love to hang out with them on the weekends and are SO SAD that they are gone. We knew this day would come and I have been dreading it! They will be back in four years and we will pick up where we left off. By then our boys will be running around together.
By the way, Logan and Verne poured us that big patio we are eating on. We also bought a BBQ and have enjoyed eating dinner on our patio almost every night in August. That grill was one of the best purchases we ever made.
Cousins at the pool!

Cody came and played one day while Lindsi was at camp. These boys are so cute together! He was wearing a shirt Baylor also has so I had them be twins. They are getting so big. Just look at those huge feet.
Lori, Lindsi, Callie & I had a fun girls night out to Portland at the Street of Dreams and Papa Haydn's. I look forward to Street of Dreams every year!

Enjoying the Summertime!

Here a few pictures from some of our adventures so far this summer!

4th of July BBQ
Logan got me this bike trailer for my birthday! I love it and so do the boys!

We went to Sunriver for the May Family Reunion and had a blast. Baylor loves to swim this year! (Last year he didn't.)
Baylor and Cody ready for a bike ride in Sunriver.
Unfortunately Logan's Grandpa passed away on Father's day. We were able to go to his funeral in Boise. We were able to spend some time with Logan's extended family. On the way home we stopped by Logan's cousin Jared's Dairy farm. Baylor loves cows so it was fun to show him them in real life!
While Heidi was here we went to the splashpark with the cousins in downtown Vancouver... Baylor spent most of the time there trying to escape... stinker!
We love hanging out on our porch. Our old house didn't have room for chairs on the porch so this is something new that we enjoy. Anytime I say popsicle Baylor runs straight to the chairs on the porch!
Wesley is pretty happy when we take him outside in his bouncer seat. Those thieghs just kill me!
We had a fun picnic dinner at the school.

Wesley's Blessing ♥

We did Wesley's blessing on the 4th of July. I was kind of bummed that it ended up being on 4th but it actually worked out great! We went to the May's 4th of July party on the 3rd which was super fun... So Wesley got Sunday all to himself!
The best part about it was EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of mine and Logan's families were present. It worked out perfect!!!!!!
Afterwards we did an open house/lunch with the family.

Lindsi brought along her camera and we did a little photo shoot...
Thanks Lindsi!!!!! I LOVE these pictures!!!
It was a perfect day! Now I'm glad we did it on the 4th because I will always remember the day Wesley was blessed!
I feel so lucky that this adorable, smiley little boy is mine!

5 Years!

Today was our 5 year Anniversary!!! I was so excited to wake up to some sunshine!!! We had to make sure to take Baylor outside before we left. Baylor loves to ride around with Logan on the beach bikes!!
This baby is getting cuter by the minute!!!!!!!!!
We went to 23rd Street in Portland to walk around and shop. For years I have heard people rave about how amazing the desserts are at Papa Haydn's (a restaurant on 23rd.) We decided to do 'dessert first' and give it a try. Usually when things are talked up too much I am left disappointed but that was not the case today. Logan and I couldn't believe just how yummy the desserts we ordered were!
Aren't they pretty?
Afterwards, we headed over to our favorite restaurant Mother's Bistro for Dinner. Wesley was with us... but he slept the whole time. It was nice to get out just the two of us... it has been awhile, but we decided we need to do it much more often! Here's to 5 wonderful years!!!!

2 Year Old, 2 Month Old, and a Move

We have been BUSY! At about 5:00 PM on Thursday the 3rd we were given the green light to move so we called up our family and friends and off we went. I was not totally ready but we did it anyways. It was super chaotic... I ran out of boxes and tape so everything was going in big black garbage sacks. It was pouring down rain outside {as usual} so we rented a U-Haul and I'm so glad we did. The entire lower floor of our new house was filled with boxes and MESS. Logan and I stayed up all night unpacking. I slept for two hours and then hit the ground running on Friday. Why? Because it was Baylor's Birthday and I had planned to do his party at the new house. (I originally thought we were going to move earlier in the week.) Logan and I have decided we wanted to make sure to celebrate his birthday ON his birthday. We had so much help from family and friends and that was the only way we were able to do it. So thank you to everyone who brought dinners, moved boxes and furniture, babysat and helped unpack.
I've mentioned this before, but we have a big family.... and it's only getting bigger. Our 'small' birthday party for Baylor had 20 guests, not including our family of four. That's A LOT of people!

His Birthday looked more like Christmas morning...
I just love this little boy!! I would say I can't beleive he's two... but it kinda seems like he's always been around. I guess I just can't imagine life without him! He doesn't know how to successfully 'blow' yet so Logan had to help him out with the candles.
Opening presents
We got Baylor this trike for his birthday. He is a little bit short for it, but we couldn't resist. The bell is getting a lot of use though!

Anyways, by the end of Baylor's party this is what I felt like doing....
PASSING OUT! (This picture was taken of Baylor a few weeks ago... I found him on the floor like this... I had to check if he was breathing!)

As for Wesley, he is two months old now!!!! He pretty much wants to be held all day long. Sometimes it's hard... but I know that it goes by so fast and before you know it they weigh 30 pounds and are too heavy to hold for more then five minutes. (Baylor)

Wesley is SO smiley! I love love love it!
Baylor loves to give Wesley kisses!
